Shany's two-megapixel IP cube cameras are being used at department stores in Indonesia to protect the staff and customers as well as reducing theft.
The client, Parkson Retail Group, is an Asian-based department store operator with an extensive network of 121 stores as at 31 December 2014, spanning approximately 2.1 million sqm of retail space across cities in Malaysia, China, Vietnam, Indonesia and Myanmar.
2.0 Megapixel IP Cube Camera (SNC-L228M)
Raizo, Shany’s valued partner in Indonesia, offered a complete video surveillance solution with 60 units of SNC-L228M to meet specific site requirements. The Shany’s cameras were specified by the client on the grounds of functionality, flexibility and competitive pricing.
SNC-L228M is equipped with a 1/2.7” 2.0 Megapixel Progressive CMOS Sensor and 9 IR LEDs. Designed for use indoors or outdoors where video is required at low illumination level, SNC-L228M is an excellent match for the requirements of department stores. It provides high resolution video images of up to 1920x1080 pixels and maximum 10m of visible range at night. The equipped IR LEDs enable day and night surveillance with clear images.
Shany has used the motion detection technology in SNC-L228M that enhances accuracy and reduces the occurrence of false alarms, thus preventing the waste of resources. Once movement is detected, specific actions can be triggered, such as the activation of an alarm, or an increase in resolution in order to capture greater details. Parkson installed the SNC-L228M not only in large rooms, the entrances, and the exits of each shop, but also mounted it above the cashier’s desks for clear monitoring of customers' movements and transactions handled by cashiers.
"Compared with other suppliers, Shany’s products are capable of capturing high quality video images, enabling us to check the details of our stores, and ensuring the safety of the personnel and assets.” – Store Manager
